Back to regularly scheduled programming - meet the Schmidt Family!

Katie and I found each other through Thumbtack. She was the first to trust me without a solid block of reviews, and I'll be forever grateful for that. We planned for an awesome fall session about a month in advance, but as Colorado weather goes, fall disappeared in a day and we were given something a little less colorful.

I think we made the onset of winter work though and I really started to love the look and feel of this entire session!

I posted a day or so ago on Instagram about how I'm a full believer in fur family members and I will always be happy to include them in portraits. I mean come on - look at Pablo!! I could tell he meant so much to Katie and her family and I'm so glad they brought him along!

The biggest take away here was that it's not all about the location! It's about the subjects first and foremost - I realize I spend a lot of time stressing on where to take photos, when to get perfect light..but in reality, it always seems to work out and at the end of the day, I'm just concerned about creating a product that you can be happy with! One that you're proud to frame!
