Colorado Engagement / Breckenridge Adventure Session
It's been 4 months since I met Marcella & Trevor in Breckenridge for the 2nd time. I will confess that my turn around time is not perfect, but it's an improvement considering it took me 6 months to post Trevor's proposal. So let's just call my blogging a work in progress still...
Trevor & Marcella are from Texas but have a love for Colorado - who doesn't? So when they told me they were coming back to the mountains this winter and wanted to do their engagement photos here, I was STOKED. They wanted to adventure in the snow, regardless of the cold, and I knew we'd find some place magical in Breckenridge. It's so hard to predict conditions in this crazy state, and of course they showed up during a dry spell. I made it my mission that weekend to find some trails that held onto winter, and stumbled upon a perfect little forest just outside of Breckenridge. Marcella had the most beautiful dresses that paired perfectly with the warmest of snow boots and Trevor was perfectly coordinated. If you ever need help figuring out what to wear for an engagement session, these two are a perfect example!
About 30 minutes before sunset, we left the woods and headed to the Dillon Ice Castles, which turns out is super hard to shoot in at night time, but it was definitely worth the struggle.
I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed taking and editing them - it was so hard to narrow down because these two were naturals. I cannot wait for their wedding this December!
On another note, if I could get a mountain session booked for every season, I'd be such a happy human. Who wants to make my dreams come true?
